Iceland wedding: Northern Lights and waterfalls

After 3 visits to Iceland, we finally see the Northern Lights! It was at 11pm, I was in a daze but luckily remembered to put snow trousers on becuase it was freezing but we did catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, moving and changing, green and red. It was fantastic to see through sleepy eyes. Following breakfast we drove to Hotel Ranga, everywhere feels so familiar. We had an appointment with the registrar to approve all of the documents and run through the order of service, then took a detour to Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss (we nicknamed the dirty waterfall but that's slightly unfair as it was directly after the famous volcano erupted, now it's clear and gorgeous. We said goodbye saying 'see you in 2 days when we are married'. It's where we will have our wedding photo's taken. David and Jeannie arrived just in time, and we had a lovely dinner together, I do love the food at Hotel Ranga, some of the best I've ever tasted. An early night for an exciting day ahead, then the chaos will start when all our guests will arrive.
