I've been known to be a flood tourist on a number of occasions, but to my horror, this time the water was getting higher and higher, and more towards our new flat! Ok, so we are on the top floor but all of my junk is in the garage. After studying rivers for 3 years, and due to my employer, you would have thought that I would buy a flat on the top of a hill, but no, I'm someone that likes the view. Water, tinned food and torch at the ready....then the water went down. Don't get me wrong, I was very glad it did! :)
