Belfast - an early morning walk about town

A super early walk around Belfast to visit the Crown Liquor Saloon, Robinson's Bar, Europa Hotel. All I visited quite a few years back. On route I found the memorial to the Titanic and by chance, the Monument to the Unknown Woman Worker. It's amazing, two women covered in items related to domestic chores. Before recreating the Leo moment on the steps from the Titanic film.

A scorching hot day in Blackpool

I've always wanted to visit Blackpool so jumped at the chance. I arrived mid afternoon and walked through town, to discover bars open with karaoke blaring out. I walked along the promenade to the pleasure beach. It didn't look that far but 15,000 steps later, I decided to get the tram back. The Winter Gardens were spectacular, especially the ballroom. I didn't get chance to get to the Tower, but loved that speakers blare out music to the promenade to entice you to visit. I walked past so many chippy's, hotels, B&B's and amusements on such a scorcher of a day.

Processions - a moment in history

A couple of days after the announcement of the MBE, I took part in a historic moment in history. To say it was a surreal weekend would be an understatement. I was welcomed by the group with lots of congratulations (I still can't absorb it). We walked behind our banner which took me an entire weekend to sew (I can't sew). A boiling hot day, walking through the streets of London, thinking of suffragettes and suffragettes, wearing our green, white and purple scarves. A big moment in history, to mark the suffrage centenary, and I couldn't be more proud with our group.
