Our NZ Christmas 2012 family boxing day. Like Matthew
mentioned, it’s probably the one and only Christmas we will all ever spend
together. We picked up our car, then in the evening we went to Emma, Steve and
Carl’s for Christmas dinner. We only met them 2 days ago, but already feel like
family. We had the full Christmas dinner, with Paxo stuffing that cost NZ $5! I
have a new appreciation for stuffing. We had crackers, Christmas pudding and
custard. For some reason, I then had severe cramp in the back of my leg. What a
great impression!
In the living room, we had more food, it’s Christmas! Then
were invited into the garage for a disco by Carl, with smoke machine, lights,
glitter ball. We were dancing between the wheelbarrow and garden pots. It’s the
most random disco I’ve ever been to, in New Zealand, as part of the family of
friends I met two days ago, with Matthew and Andy, and Andy’s mum that doesn’t
speak English but didn’t need ay encouragement to start ‘big fish, little fish,
cardboard box’.
Back in the house, we watched 3D TV, then home. What an
amazing NZ Christmas 2012 family Christmas. Loved every bit.
