We know nothing about campervans, how to drive them, how to
operate them. We don’t know what to expect, neither of us have driven anything
so big…in a nutshell, we don’t have a clue! It was my idea to do the campervan
thing, and when we were watching the DVD instructions in the campervan pick up
office, and we saw the camper for the first time, I was scared! I had to bite
the bullet, and hopped in the driver seat for the first hour.
We drove to Kaikora for the Maori tour. Sadly, it was
cancelled due to the rain. The story of the trip! Lunch at the craypot and Ali
had half a crayfish, then onto wine country. Going through Blenheim for a trip
down memory lane. When we arrived at the campsite, we decided the camper is
female, and decided to call her Thomas the Tank. We found our way around the
camper, I cooked dinner, and we vegged in front of the TV. This is luxury
camping! Sausages, bacon and beans in the fridge waiting for the traditional
camping breakfast in the morning.
