Snowdrops of Anglesey Abbey
Something I love about being on Shared Parental Leave is being able to go to places with very few people. So I was really surprised when I reached Anglesey Abbey and couldn't find a car space. It was heaving! There were people everywhere. Little did I know that I arrived on the day of the big snowdrop walk around the estate. So I followed suit and chose the path of the snowdrop walk around the Winter Garden. Oh my gosh, I've never seen so many snowdrops in my life. The smell of honeysuckle was so good that I decided to go to one section twice to sniff the air! It's so amazing to see the colours if the garden after a drab winter.
A glorious walk through the woodland to the mill, the house and back to the visitor centre for the obligatory refreshment break. A great visit. I will be back.

If there's any way you can make it to Japan, I'd highly recommend it. We went a year and a half ago and it was awesome! Speaking a little Japanese helps but you can get by on English. Someone at a train station will speak it. There's tons of history there, all you have to do is turn a corner to find something new.
