London New Years Day Parade
I didn't know that London had a New Year's Day parade, so was rather shocked to find out that it's the 30th anniversary this year, so off we went. We plonked ourselves on Whitehall which was the end of the parade, by the granstand where all of the bands did a short performance. We watched lots of American marching badges, steam trains, vintage cars, huge inflatables and local carnival type walking groups. It was great, I especially loved the marching bands. When they played pinball wizard, it brought back so many memories of Ravens Marching Band. I reckon Alan was looking down and watching the parade too.
