A trip down memory lane for Ali as we travelled around her
old haunts in Glasgow, including halls and the very grand Glasgow University
building. Ali went to uni in Hogwarts! It’s very grand, they had a whole
building for zoology! We were lucky enough to have a geography computer room,
let alone a whole building. It reminded me about how different everyons university
experience is. My university was similar to a secondary school, Ali went to Hogwarts,
including an entrance with midwifery over the door.
Here you will find the travel diaries of Ms Keela. I apologise in advance for my poor english. English is my second language, Bristolian is my first.

George and Chris' wedding in Scotland
We are having a year of firsts, and George and Chris’
wedding was our first as a married couple. I rather like going to a wedding
that I didn’t need to organise. We drove up to Glasgow, half way stopping off
at Scotch Corner Travelodge which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast in
Little Chef surprised us too, it was lovely, so surprises all around. We
arrived at Mar Hall early for luncheon, you have to call it luncheon in such a
grand place! While we tucked in, Chris was seen going up and down, up and down
to the ceremony room.
The ceremony was lovely, and so personable. Trouble was, I
had a coughing fit half way through and had to leave the room with the crying
baby. After photo’s, we moved to a house in the garden decked in white tulips.
The speeches were great, including a naked baby picture of Chris. The band ‘Dawn
Patrol’ were fantastic. Sadly my new wife left me in the Ceilidh and danced
with another woman and left me without a partner, I kid you not.
My first wedding in Scotland, with kilts and thistles. A fantastic
night with Ali’s school friends. So far, we have had one wedding in Colchester,
Gen’s in Wales, George in Scotland…Ireland next?
