The house is warmed
So, we have lived in 3 different places in the last 4 months, the moving cards in the same in the shops that they were last time we moved, but hey, it's a great excuse for a party. Having visitors is exhausting, you spend hours tidying the house, only to get it messy and then have to tidy it up all over again! The day started with Kirky, Robbie and Chloe arriving at the same time as Carrie and Pete. At this point the BBQ was still in it's box ready to be set up. Then Windband arrived with the lethal skittles vodka, including one mystery one which was a werthers originals vodka, must make again.
We had a BBQ, it then started to rain so it was a mass exodus into the house for the games including the balloon games, pass the parcel, stand on a peice of paper equivilent of musical chairs and then all afternoon we were back and forth to the garden, the only problem being the amount of wasps around that meant Olivia baraccaded herself into the house.
While the kids went to bed, the adults played Amanda's blue basket game, with golden doodle a classic, China and primark pants being very memorable to act out. Bed exhausted but the house is officially warmed.

School holidays at Woburn and London
I'm not sure that many people consider it a treat to have a 3 year old and a 6 year old at their brand new home in the holidays, but it was great to be Brownie leader again and get to bake and do crafts. We started with a trip to Woburn safari park where the wallabi's were giving each other 'special cuddles', we had an argument with some people pushing in the queue for the land train and all liv wanted to do was go in all 5 adventure playgrounds! We watched an elephant show, almost hit another car through the safari park bit as they were going too slow, saw a black bear for the first time in my life and watched the elegence of the sea lions swimming. I still believe that watching children in playgrounds is more exhausting that actually being in the playground!
The next day we went to London, althougth I do think the girls preferred the tube to anything else we did. Apart from when liv didn't go through the barrier quick enough, and then almost got lost. We even had to pay 50p to use the toilet! We saw the palace and had a picnic in the park, we went to see Big Ben and Houses of Parliament and that was pretty much our 4 hours up! Great day but I don't know how people have children 24 hours a day!
