Caitlins 2nd birthday
I can't believe that Caitlin is 2 already! the day started with me driving there on my own in a geared car, a frightening thought. Sal and the girls were staying in a caravan. The girls were so excited when we first arrived. Jenny and Dave, mum, Grandad, Norma, Aunty and Cous cous all arrived and off we went for a picnic. I took the girls swimming on my own and learned that for a parent, it's freezing cold to go swimming as you basically bob up and down. In the evening, off we went to bugsy's bar for the entertainment and wearing pointy hats in public that don't really fit :)

Digging holes
A suprise trip from Sal and the girls lead us on the train to Dawlish. It's quite therapeutic digging holes in sand, except that Caitlin seems to prefer to throw it on me or fill in the hole instead of digging it out. As you can imagine, liv got soaked in her trips back and forth to the sea to fill in the hole where the water always disappears before she returns. All the while Al and Ali were in the tent looking like it was middle of winter :)

Ali's birthday
Ali had full choice on what she wanted to do on her birthday, so she chose a day of doing nothing so that's exactly what we did. The day started with lots of random pressies (thanks mum for passing that onto me) and then a bike ride to Double Locks. And the present Ali liked the most...a colouring in book!
